Shehnaaz Gill's father accused of allegedly misusing security cover by police officials, read deets

Actress Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh has been embroiled in a controversy. He recently alleged that the police officials have not taken suitable action to a complaint filed by him against a person who made a threat call against him. However, the police authorities have instead alleged that he is misusing the security cover given to him by the Punjab police.

However, Santokh has denied these allegations. According to a news report in Hindustan Times, Shehnaaz’s father recently released a video wherein an unknown caller could be heard threatening him with harm. He also added that the police are not taking any strict action against this. Surinderpal Singh, the Baba Bakala deputy superintendent of police said that they are investigating the matter. He was heard saying, “The video is two months old. Action will be taken against the accused. However, he (Sukh) is misusing the security cover given to him as he runs an organization. He was instructed not to misuse the security cover, but he disregarded the directive.”

Not only this but the DSP revealed that around 6 to 7 cases have been filed against Gill’s father. Santokh Singh went on to counter this saying, “Why are the police making such accusations after two months? They are only making the accusations as I made the video public. The cops have not taken any action so far. Police are leveling such baseless allegations to hide their inaction.”

He also added that the police have been claiming that the phone call made by the accused is fake. He said, “The police are also claiming that the phone call in the video is fake. On one hand, the police are saying that they are investigating the case, and on the other, they are passing a verdict. If this is a fake threat, why have they not registered an FIR against me?” Shehnaaz’s father furthermore said that this fiasco had been done to tarnish his image citing an example of an earlier rape allegation against him which had turned out to be false.
