Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri join forces for Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller

Just a few days back, there was a strong buzz that the hunky Shahid Kapoor and the svelte Triptii Dimri will be coming together for a film. Today, it's officially announced that the two stars are indeed coming together for a film that is being produced by none other than Sajid Nadiadwala.

In a media statement, Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the news saying, "I'm thrilled to join forces with the genius director, my dear friend Vishal Bhardwaj, and the phenomenal powerhouse Shahid Kapoor! It's an honor to welcome the incredibly gifted Tripti Dimri to the #NGEFamily! -Love #SajidNadiadwala"

Sajid took to social media and posted, ‘I'm thrilled to join forces with the genius director, my dear friend @vishalrbhardwaj, and the phenomenal powerhouse @shahidkapoor! It's an honor to welcome the incredibly gifted @tripti_dimri to the #NGEFamily! - Love #SajidNadiadwala @wardakhannadiadwala’.

On his part, there was Vishal Bhardwaj, who said (in a media note) that he was thrilled to collaborate once again with the incredible Sajid Nadiadwala, whom he termed as one of the finest producers and a dear friend. He also termed Shahid Kapoor as gifted and also his trusted talisman. He added, ‘What a delight to have Tripti Dimri, India's National Crush, add her magic to this dream team!’.

As per a news report in Pinkvilla, it had stated that the said film was a mission-based action thriller and that Sajid Nadiadwala was ‘all excited to bring it to the spectacle in the biggest possible way. It added that the duo of Sajid and Vishal believed that Shahid Kapoor was the best fit of the role and also that the films’ makers are now looking to create 6 massive action set pieces for the yet untitled feature film’.

The same report added that, the said film will be going on floors from the month of either September or October this year and that the film will be (reportedly) shot extensively in India and the US. Watch this space for further updates and developments.
