Acclaimed director Selvaraghavan, who is also the brother of actor Dhanush, has always been vocal about his views on films and artists. The Aayirathil Oruvan-fame director recently took to his social media pages to heap praise on Kollywood’s budding actors Manikandan and Kavin.

Praising their acting prowess, the director on his X page wrote, “Kavin and Manikandan are super actors. The good thing about them is they are both fantastic, realistic performers! They can play any kind of role with ease. An excellent thing for Tamil cinema.” The director seems to have been impressed by the young actors' performances in the latest films, Lover, starring Manikandan, and Kavin’s latest outing Star. Both films have received rave reviews from critics and audiences, alike.

Manikandan-starrer Lover and, Kavin-led Star were well-received by the audiences, who too appreciated the two new actors’ incredible performances in the films.

Selvaraghavan’s next film
Meanwhile, the director who has also turned an actor, will be next seen in Dhanush’s directorial Raayan. The actor-director’s first-look poster from the film was unveiled earlier. The movie is scheduled to be released later this year.
