'Satyameva Jayate' : Sooraj Pancholi's mother Zarina Wahab expresses gratitude on her son's verdict in Jiah Khan's case but netizens aren't pleased

Actor Sooraj Pancholi recently was announced not guilty in the Jiah Khan death case by a special court. The actor who was the main accused in the case was the boyfriend of the late actress at the time of her death. Now, his mother Zarina Wahab who had also accompanied him to the court broke her silence about the verdict.

Talking about the same, Zarina Wahab was heard chanting ‘Satyameva Jayate’ (truth alone triumphs). She further said that God is great and that their family is finally relieved with the verdict. The Dil Dhadakne Do actress went on to say that for some reason God had made them face such adverse circumstances and that they were just following their fate. Take a look at the video.

However, many netizens weren’t pleased with Zarina Wahab’s statements and bashed her for the same. One of the netizens stated, “Aunty Kaash Aapko Koi Beti Hoti” while another user said, “Ye pati ko control main nahi rakh saki.. bete ki kya rakhegi.” Another netizen went on to add, “Money is bigger than god nowadays.” A user furthermore said, “deep down you know what you have done. I hope you convince your soul to accept the lie life long.” A netizen went on to comment, “Happy for this mother but what about the other mother who has lost her daughter forever.” Another user said, “Abhi High Court baki h.. supreme court baki h.. itna jyada Khushi manane ki kya zarurat h mohtarma.”

Earlier Sooraj Pancholi was also spotted distributing sweets to the paparazzi after the special court verdict declared him innocent. His act received a lot of flak from the netizens. Sooraj had furthermore shared a statement which said, “The Verdict has taken 10 long painful years and sleepless nights, But today I have not only won this case against me but I have also won my dignity and confidence back, it took a lot of courage to face the world with such heinous allegations, I hope and pray to God that nobody goes through what I have gone through at such a young age, I don’t know who will give me these 10 years of my life back to me, but I am glad that this has finally come to an end not only for me but especially for my family. There is nothing bigger than peace in this world.”
