Vicky Kaushal became part of the live presentation of the India vs South Africa cricket match on Sunday cheering for men in blue. The actor also joined millions of Virat Kohli fans in sharing his heartiest wishes on the birthday of the champion batter. He is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
“Superstar VK ko birthday ki bahut bahut badhaiyan. It is such a happy occasion for all of us, especially India vs South Africa on his birthday on this ground, Eden Gardens. Itna special ground hai jispe Virat bhai kitni important innings khel chuke hain. I am really looking forward to this,” said Vicky during the presentation. He also took to his Instagram stories and shared the visual.”This was fun,” he captioned the photo.

The talented actor recently shared the new poster of his upcoming film, Sam Bahadur on Instagram where the actor was seen dressed in Sam Manekshawan’s avatar and kept a stern expression on his face. “SAM IS HERE!!! On 1.12.2023. One month to go!” he captioned the post. For the unversed, Sam Bahadur is a film based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and his army career spanning more than four decades and five wars. The film also has Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the key roles. The movie will hit theatres on December 1 this year.

However, the film’s release date is clashing with that of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal on December 1. However, Vicky was seen unperturbed by the clash and stated, “In today’s time, we, as an industry should give the option of multiple films on the same day to the audience. That’s how we will flourish as an industry. We have those many weeks in a year, but as an industry, we cannot limit ourselves to making those many films in a year. We will have to make multiple films and we will have multiple releases on the same day. We have to build an atmosphere with multiple films can work on the same day. We have the strength in the audience, we have the strength at the exhibitor level, so, why not?” he said
Vicky would also be seen next in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Dunki which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
