Salman Khan was sent death threat by Lawrence Bishnoi for this reason? Maharashtra Home Department reveals

Fans were in for a rude shock after it was revealed that superstar Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received a death threat by the Lawrence Bishnoi last week. For the unversed, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has also taken responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala . Now, the Maharashtra Home Department has revealed the real reason behind the gang sending the death threat to the actor and his father.

According to a news report in ANI, Maharashtra Home Department has revealed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang wished to exert their power by extorting large sums of money by threatening Salman Khan. The report was quoted to reveal, “As per info from Maharashtra Home Dept, the reason for the Bishnoi gang to threaten actor Salman Khan & his father Salim Khan was to create an atmosphere to show their power. The gang was preparing to extort money from big businessmen & actors”.

Dilip Walse Patil, the Maharashtra Home Minister was quoted by the report to say, “When Moose Wala was murdered, the Bishnoi gang tried to take advantage of it to create a reputation for themselves. Some people were arrested but all facts haven't come to the fore. Police are investigating the matter, it'll take a few more days & then there will be clarity”. Patil furthermore revealed that the police officials are extensively investigating the matter and the Tiger Zinda Hain actor’s security has also been tightened after the same. Talking about the death threat letter, Salman’s father Salim Khan had found the same when he was out for his morning walk on June 5.

The letter had the words written in Hindi which read, “You will end up like Moosewala.” It was earlier reported that three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang delivered a letter to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. Talking about Sidhu Moosewala, the singer was brutally shot dead near his Mansa village in Punjab on May 29.
