Salman Khan and dad Salim Khan's effigies burnt by Bishnois amid Lawrence Bishnoi's death threats; here's why
That the members of the Bishnoi community have always expressed their displeasure over Salman Khan over the black buck hunting case is something that is known to everyone by now. Recently, the members of the Bishnoi community of Jaipur burnt effigies of actor Salman Khan and his father, screenwriter Salim Khan. The said incident took place on Saturday (October 26).
The reason for the above incident was that the community leaders had expressed anger over Salim Khan's 'misleading' statements over the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in which Salman is the prime accused. Since the Bishnois consider blackbuck sacred, they are seemingly very hurt by the flow of events.
For the unversed, in a recent interview with ABP, Salim Khan had said that his son Salman Khan was innocent and would never be able to harm an animal. Looking back, it was in the year 1998, the said incident had taken place in Rajasthan. Post the black buck hunting case, Salman Khan had got acquitted in the blackbuck poaching case.
On the other hand, the Bishnoi community insists that he should apologise for his mistakes. They said, "We are Bishnois, we do not defame anyone just like that. When the case was registered 26 years ago, many dignitaries, including the then MLA of the Bishnoi community, were present. Salim Khan cannot mislead people by giving false statements. The entire community was hurt by Salim Khan's statement. We will make all-out efforts to ensure justice was delivered in the Blackbuck case. We will also protest by taking to the streets”.
One may be aware that, in the recent days gone by, there have been many incidents that had occurred in and around Salman Khan. There were two unidentified men who had opened gunshots at Salman Khan’s residence Galaxy Apartments. Recently, there was a murder of the well-known politician Baba Siddique, who was known to be Salman Khan’s close friend.
