Sai Pallavi recently opened up about her encounter with Bollywood's PR machinery, expressing surprise at the extensive efforts made to keep celebrities constantly in the spotlight. As she awaits the release of her latest film, Amaran, Pallavi shared her initial confusion with Bollywood’s approach to maintaining public interest.
"Someone from Bollywood approached me, suggesting I use a PR agency to boost my image," she explained. “At first, I didn’t understand why I’d need someone to ‘boost’ me. I thought, ‘I will do a film, and give interviews during its release. What more do I need?’” Pallavi continued, “They told me the agency would keep my name in the news year-round and peak my popularity before the release. When I asked why, they couldn’t really explain it. One of them, a young guy, said he would keep me in the limelight even when I wasn’t working. But I wondered—if people keep talking about us constantly, won’t they eventually lose interest?”
