Those who live, eat and breathe Bollywood or even otherwise will surely be aware of the cult film Karan Arjun, which starred the two eternal superstars of today- Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had starred in the Rakesh Roshan directed Karan Arjun, a film that went onto create history at the box office. While Salman Khan played the role of Karan, it was Shah Rukh Khan who was seen in the role of Arjun.
In a recent interview with Times Of India (Indiatimes), the filmmaker Rakesh Rishon was asked to name the two actors of the recent lot, whom he saw as the potential replacement to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Karan Arjun. As a reply to this question, Rakesh Roshan said, "I won’t remake Karan Arjun or make a sequel but If I were to think of an alternate jodi for the movie today, I would cast Hrithik Roshan as Karan and Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun".
In the same interview, Rakesh Roshan also revealed the reason behind casting Salman Khan in the role of Karan. He said, that, it was Salman Khan's physique and compelling eyes which made him an ideal choice to play the of Karan in the film.
There was also a question about how he handled the pressure of casting two superstars as parallel leads. Rakesh Roshan, on his part, said, “Before the shoot commenced, I sat with them together, face to face narrated them the whole story and dialogues with emotions. I told them jo bhi kehna hai, ab boliye, set pe matt boliye…
When asked about the future projects, Rakesh Roshan said that, they were working on Krish 4 and will be making the announcement when things get clearer. In the same breath, he stated that, he will continue to make his films starting with the letter K.
