Raju Srivastava critical: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offers help to the comedian, enquires about his health

Raju Srivastava is still in a very critical condition two days after he suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym. According to a news report in Zee News, some sources from the comedian’s family have revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (August 12) had called up Srivastava’s wife Shikha to enquire about his health and also offered his support to them. The comedian continues to be on a ventilator with no improvement in his health.

The report furthermore stated that the senior doctors in AIIMS are doing their level best to bring him into the path of recovery. The comedian hasn’t regained consciousness in the last 46 hours and has suffered brain damage which has furthermore worsened his condition. The comedian had undergone angioplasty on Wednesday (August 10).

Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while he was working out on a treadmill at the Cult gym in Delhi’s South Extension. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have also enquired about the comedian’s health and have lent their respective support. Srivastava rose to fame after participating in the popular comedy show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in the year 2005.

Raju Srivastava had become synonymous with his performance name Gajodhar Bhaiya and had gone on to perform on numerous stage shows and events. He was also the chairman of the UP Film Development Council. Before this fateful incident, Raju was also very active on social media. He was recently seen expressing his views on Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha boycott trend on his social media handle in a comedic manner. Srivastava was also seen in small roles in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Baazigar, and Amdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya. He was also a participant on Bigg Boss 3.
