While the entire nation is celebrating Naatu Naatu and The Elephant Whisperers ’ win at the 95th Academy Awards, Sidharth Malhotra ’s reaction to the historic feat is being perceived in a bad light. On Monday, the actor was spotted at the Delhi airport wherein he was asked to share his reaction on India’s big win at the Oscars this year. The actor seemed to be in a hurry and just responded, “press conference thodi chal rahi hai”(No press conference is going on here)and left.
Soon after the video surfaced on the internet, the netizens stood divided over Sidharth’s unexpected response to the Oscars’ win. One user reacted, “Well as a happy gesture he could have said a great job only two words were enough but itna sab bolne ke liye time hey…. Thoda tarif hi kardeta Bro. Well, the situation depends yes but it’s not hard to say a great Job.” Another trolled him saying, “Film's chal nhi rehi h iski or attitude de raha.” One of his fans defended the actor saying, “First of all he was spotted at Delhi airport where there were no paps & he was in rush still he said in a light way with humour u guys think he's angry?” “Ese angry nhi ese humour kahte hain,”added another fan. Its song ‘Naatu Naatu’ composed by MM Keeravani was awarded the Best Original Song Award at the Oscars. Also, Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga's Netflix documentary short, The Elephant Whisperers, made the nation proud as it won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short.

Sidharth recently flew to Delhi to finish the last schedule of his upcoming action thriller, Yodha. Besides him, the movie also stars Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani in prominent roles. Helmed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It is scheduled to hit theatres on July 7, 2023, set to clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s comedy drama Dream Girl 2. Apart from this, Sidharth is also geared up for his digital debut with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force alongside Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi.
