Speculations were rife about Bollywood star Ranveer Singh opting out of director Prasanth Varma's upcoming movie due to creative differences. However, these rumours appear to hold little truth.
According to industry sources, the project is very much on track, and the filmmakers are in the process of making an official announcement. It is also said that Prasanth recently shot a promo with Ranveer, which will be revealed soon.
Reports indicate that Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind blockbusters like Pushpa, is bankrolling the upcoming movie.

It's safe to assume that the upcoming movie is part of the cinematic universe Prasanth Varma is creating. He has multiple films in the pipeline to expand the universe that began with his recent blockbuster HanuMan. He noted that he will dedicate the next 20 years to building this superhero franchise inspired by Indian mythology.
"We will be simultaneously shooting four films. Additionally, other directors are contributing to the development of films within this universe. Moving forward, we will introduce new actors, including some of the biggest superstars from across the Indian film industry. Many of these stars were impressed by the movie and have expressed their eagerness to join this cinematic universe. We are adapting the scripts to align with their star images. The universe will provide a platform for emerging talents," Prasanth Varma said at several media events a few weeks ago.
However, it's unclear whether his project with Ranveer is Jai Hanuman, a sequel to HanuMan.
HanuMan became one of the biggest hits of the Telugu film industry in 2024, with worldwide ticket sales exceeding Rs 300 crore. Buoyed by the success of the movie, Prasanth revealed that the sequel, Jai Hanuman, will hit the screens next year.
