Pooja Hegde calls Hrithik Roshan her childhood crush; reveals why she was sad at Koi Mil Gaya’s premiere

After working in three South films, actress Pooja Hegde made her Bollywood debut with Ashutosh Gowariker’s 2016 film Mohenjo Daro , opposite heartthrob Hrithik Roshan . The period action-adventure film tanked at the box office but the performances as well as the music given my AR Rahman received praises from fans. Well, many years before Pooja was signed as the female lead of this project, the actress had attended the premiere of Koi...Mil Gaya. The only reason behind this was her childhood crush on Hrithik.
In a recent chat with Mashable India, Pooja remembered, “The funny thing is, as a kid, if I had a crush on anybody, it was Hrithik Roshan. I was like, 'oh my god, dreams come true.' I have to tell you this story, I went for the premiere of Koi...Mil Gaya, and I had taken my camera, put my reel in it. I was like I am gonna take a picture with Hrithik Roshan today. And he came, and as all celebs do he came for 10 minutes, he said hi to everyone and he left.”
The actress revealed that she was heartbroken and incredibly sad that she could not get a picture clicked with Hrithik. She did, however, pose next to the poster of his film with a sad look on her face. Pooja stated, “I look so sad in that picture. So I wanna sometimes go back to that little girl and be like, 'just wait, the story is not over. One day you will have a full film with Hrithik Roshan.”
Clearly, dreams do come true! Currently the beauty is gearing up for Rohit Shetty ’s upcoming comedy Cirkus opposite Ranveer Singh , and Acharya alongside Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan.
