Paatal Lok season 2 Teaser: Jaideep Ahlawat hints at a more dangerous and mysterious plotline

Paatal Lok fans have been awaiting the release of the second season of the web series ever since the makers announced it’s making last year. Adding more to the buzz ahead of its release on Prime Video this month, the makers released the teaser of Jaideep Ahlawat-starrer Paatal Lok season 2 on social media, revealing the dark and gory storyline of the upcoming season.

Taking to Instagram, the makers of Paatal Lok season 2 shared its teaser, hinting at the dark narrative of the upcoming season. The teaser begins with Jaideep Ahlawat asking, “Ek story sunoge (Want to hear a story?)”

And he begins to narrate the story in Hindi, “In a village there lived a man who hated insects (keede). He thought that insects were the root cause for all things bad in the world. Then one day, he found an insect in the corner of his house. The insect bit the man and the man in turn killed him.”

While he speaks these words the lift starts to falter and the situation becomes ominous. He later says the man became the hero of the village and people praised him. “Then one day he found something moving under his bed. Fir ek sunsan raat mein uske bistar ke neche kuch hila ek keeda tha. (There was an insect, then ten, then lakh, crore, and infinite. What did the man think, the game would be over by killing an insect, that is not how things happen in Paatal Lok).”

After telling the story, Jaideep moves out of the lift and walks into a mysterious space. The makers captioned the post while revealing the revealing date of the upcoming season. The caption stated, “P for p̶a̶r̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ Paatal Lok #PaatalLokOnPrime, New Season, Jan 17.”

For the unversed, Paatal Lok season 1, starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Ishwak Singh, released in 2020. The web series is a gripping tale of a police officer named Hathi Ram, played by Jaideep.
