Nushrratt Bharuccha opens up on not being part of Dream Girl 2, reacts to dating rumours with Honey Singh

Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film, Chatrapathi with South actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas. In a recent media interaction, the actress talked about how she felt about not being part of Dream Girl 2. She also broke the silence on her dating rumours with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

Raaj Shandilya’s Dream Girl which was released in 2019 featured Nushrratt alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. However, in the upcoming second part, Dream Girl 2, the actress has been replaced by Ananya Panday. Talking about it, Nushrratt said she got connected with the movie. "My director Raaj Shaandilyaa, with whom I also did Janhit Mein Jaari, is also very close to my heart. So for me the whole set up and the whole team is special. Of course, it was disheartening to not be part of their second journey. But having said that, I wish the best to the film and I’m going to be cheering for them, watching the first day first show and hoping the film does more than 200-300 crore,” she told in an interview with Times Of India.

Last month, Nushrratt made headlines for being the reason behind Yo Yo Honey Singh’s break-up with Tina Thadani. Addressing the rumours, she said that this is her first dating rumour and when this came she was actually thrilled. However, she later added that people have a great imagination and hence she has no problem, they can carry on with it. For the unversed, Nushrratt appeared in Honey’s music video, Saiyaan Ji in 2021. 

Meanwhile, Nushrratt’s upcoming Chatrapthi is scheduled to release in cinemas on May 12, 2023. She was last seen in Selfiee alongside Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi and Diana Penty. Up next, she will also be seen in the OTT film, Chhorri 2, helmed by Vishal Furia.
