'Now I am a bit more cautious...': Priyanka Chopra Jonas reacts to backlash over calling RRR a Tamil movie

Last month, Priyanka Chopra Jonas caught herself on the receiving end of trolls after she referred Telugu-language film RRR as a Tamil movie. She made the mistake while correcting Dax Shepard, who called ‘RRR’ a Bollywood film, during an appearance on his podcast. Well, The Sky is Pink actress has recently addressed the backlash stating that people try to find a mistake in anything she does.

Priyanka is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming web series Citadel . When asked about her reaction to being slammed for calling RRR a Tamil film, she told Mid-Day, "People try to find a mistake in anything I do. I think people enjoy that a little bit. I used to be a lot more free-spirited, but now I am a bit more cautious because I have my family to think about. The higher you go in life, the more people look for a reason for you to fall. But at the same time, I have so much love and support from my family, friends, and fans. I prefer to focus on that."

For those unaware, Priyanka was talking about how Bollywood has evolved on Armchair Expert with Dax. That is when Dax mentioned RRR, whose song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won big at the 95th Oscar Awards. “That’s a Tamil movie by the way. It’s like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those… it’s like our Avengers, ” she had said, following which social media users criticised her for the gaffe.

Meanwhile, Priyanka has some interesting projects on the work front. Besides Citadel, she will also be seen in Loev Again, a romantic drama in which she will share the screen with Sam Heughan. It is said to be the remake of the 2016 German film SMS für Dic. Also, she recently announced Heads of State with John Cena. Apart from this, she also has Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa directed by Farhan Akhtar co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
