Ever since Jacqueline Fernandez embroiled in the extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, nothing seems to be going right in her life. The latest development suggests that the actress has been witnessing setbacks on the professional front as the producers are hesitant to sign her for new projects. Considering the uncertainty around her arrest regarding Rs 200 crore extortion case, she has been losing work rapidly as per reports.
The 37-year-old actress has been named an accomplice in the charge sheet filed by Enforcement Directorate in the said case. It is also being claimed that the actress’ name was included in the list of prime accused after a thorough investigation of the money trail. Given the situation, a filmmaker, who has worked with the actress, has told Bollywood Hungama that no one is signing her for new films. After ED’s multiple summons, she has not been getting any new projects after Vikrant Rona and Bachchhan Paandey, said the filmmaker.

Even one of Jacqueline’s colleagues stated that it is sad that she got involved in this without knowing what she was getting into. She also added that it is unlikely that she will meet her to offer comfort. Well, the situation becomes quite grave for Jacqueline as she seems to have no support and work left in the industry after the legal trouble. Recently, the actress posted a cryptic note on her Instagram stories addressing herself as ‘Dear Me’ which apparently describes her mental state. “Dear me, I deserve all good things, I'm powerful, I accept myself, it'll all be okay. I'm strong, I will achieve my goals and dreams, I can do it,” her post read.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline’s attorney Prashant Patil has claimed that they have received no official communication from the ED about his client being named in the charge sheet. He said that they came to know about it through media reports. He also added that if the reports are true, no case is made out against Jacqueline under the scheme of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act or any other Law in force. However, the response of the ED is currently awaited.
