Masaba Gupta has confessed that she had a hard time during her divorce with husband Madhu Mantena and further revealed that she found it harder to open up about it to her mother Neena Gupta . The acclaimed fashion designer and actor who is has been making waves in the entertainment world with her show Masaba Masaba got divorced in 2019 after period of trial separation.
In a joint interview with Neena Gupta, Masaba admitted that she felt it was earlier to put out the news of her separation and divorce on social media than telling her mother about it.
Masaba told Bollywood Bubble, “I had a hard time. I had hard time telling her because I was like ‘marr gaye’. It was earlier to put on Instagram than to tell my mother.” Neena responded to Masaba confession and said, “It was a hard time for both of use. Even my husband had a tough time,” which surprised Masaba.
Neena went on to add, “Vivek, because he used to like him. Ab nafat thode na ho jayegi. I still like him. Vivek still loves him.”
The veteran actress further talked about her past relationships and said, “I believe once you love somebody how can you hate. You cannot live, you cannot be together. I don’t hate my ex-boyfriends, I don’t hate my ex-husband, I don’t. Why should I hate, kisini aapke saath itna bura kiya ho, agar koi mujhe itna bura lagta ho toh main usse bacha paida karungi hi kyun, main pagal hoon kya.”
Masaba is Neena Gupta and West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards’ daughter. The actress is now married to a Delhi based chartered accountant Vivek Mehra. Masaba, on the other hand, married producer Madhu Mantena in 2015 and the duo parted ways in 2018 and had publicly announced their separation.
