Mr. & Mrs. Mahi song Roya Jab Tu is the heartbreak anthem of the year | Watch

One of the biggest contributors to Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’s current popularity is the film’s soulful soundtrack which has touched the hearts of the audience and is going viral online. After releasing Mohammad Faiz’s Dekhha Tenu and Jubin Nautiyal’s Agar Ho Tum, the makers have unveiled the film's new song, Roya Jab Tu, which is sung by Vishal Mishra, ahead of the movie’s release on May 31 in theatres.

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi song Roya Jab Tu unveiled

The makers of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi unveiled the new song from the film, titled Roya Jab Tu on social media, showcasing the struggles and tears one has to shed in order to achieve their dreams. The caption read, “Dreams are made from love & tears both. #RoyaJabTu, song out now!# MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas THIS FRIDAY!” . While releasing the song on YouTube, Sony Music India captioned the video 'The heartbreak anthem of the year is here!'

The song begins with Mahendra (Rajkummar Rao) scolding Mahima (Janhvi Kapoor) in a dark room while Mahima keeps on shedding tears. Later, the heartbreak song shows that the fallout has created distance between the two. While Mahima struggles alone in her hostel dorm, Mahendra throws himself into work to evade the pain. Even when surrounded by people, the two constantly feel alone. The distance also affects Mahima’s game as she can’t focus much on the field.

The scene cuts to some heartfelt moments that the two shared during their courtship period which was filled with moments of fun, joy and bright smiles. The song ends with Mahendra going to see Mahima at her training camp where she refuses to forgive him and walks off, leaving him teary-eyed.

Roya Jab Tu is composed, sung and penned by Vishal Mishra. This is the third song that has been released from the film. Earlier, songs Dekhha Tenu and Agar Ho tum were unveiled, stealing the audience's hearts.
