Ahead of the most anticipated release of the year, Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time, the makers of the film have relentlessly attended promotional interviews and events, generating hype for the movie. However, the recent Instagram post by director Venkat Prabhu has sent fans into a frenzy.
The Tamil director recently took to his social media pages to share a picture with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, captioning it, "With the one & only Laletta @mohanlal."

The new picture has now gone viral, with many fans speculating whether the Malayalam actor is making a cameo alongside his Jilla co-star Vijay. For context, the Malayalam superstar shared screen space with Vijay in the 2014 film Jilla. Excited fans have been sharing the picture with comments such as 'The GOAT director meets The GOAT' and 'Thalapathy-Lalettan reunion'.
However, the actor and the director were clicked in Chennai while Venkat Prabhu was working on the final mix of The GOAT and Mohanlal was involved in the post-production work of Barroz.
Mohanlal, who has been embroiled in the Hema Committee row, is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited directorial debut, Barroz, which will hit the big screens in October 2024. Notably, Mohanlal has starred in, directed, and produced this period fantasy drama.
Thalapathy Vijay’s 4th single from The GOAT to be released soon
Meanwhile, the makers recently announced that the fourth single from Thalapathy Vijay’s film The GOAT will be released on August 31. While the makers have not shared many details about the song, many speculate that the song will feature actress Trisha in a special dance appearance alongside Vijay. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this song to see their favorite onscreen pair once again share screen space after their 2023 film Leo.
