Meiyazhagan: Second look poster from Karthi-starrer exudes retro vibes!

Following the release of the first look poster, the makers of Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s upcoming film Meiyazhagan have dropped the second look poster. The new poster features Karthi looking into a bull’s eye with a wide smile. Unlike the first look poster, the new poster exudes vintage vibes, with a backdrop reminiscent of posters from old Tamil films. The sepia tones and heartwarming details add to the nostalgic feel. Karthi’s look adds a rural touch, further enhancing the classic ambiance and hinting that the film will be a memorable rural drama.

The earlier released first look poster also suggests that the movie might explore the friendship between Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s characters.

Is Sri Divya going to play Karthi’s sister in Meiyazhagan?

According to earlier reports, Tamil actress Sri Divya has been roped in to essay the role of Karthi’s sister in the film. Along with Sri Divya, the upcoming film directed by C. Prem Kumar is also speculated to feature Tamil serial actress Swathi Konde. An official confirmation from the team about these vital details is awaited.

Directed and written by C. Prem Kumar, the upcoming film is billed as a family drama and is said to be based on two friends who become arch-enemies. On the technical front, the film’s cinematography is handled by cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, with Govind Vasantha scoring the music. Meiyazhagan is produced by Karthi’s brother and actor Suriya, along with his wife Jyothika.

Karthi’s upcoming projects

Karthi, who was last seen in Japan, will next be seen in Nalan Kumarasamy’s upcoming drama Va Vaathiyar. Recently, the OTT rights of the film were acquired by Amazon Prime Video. Besides Va Vaathiyar, Karthi also has Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Kaithi 2 in the pipeline, which is yet to begin production. He also has sequels to his other films, such as Sardar 2 and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru 2, in his lineup.
