In a recent tell-all, Hollywood's 'Terminator' Arnold Schwarzenegger placed the blame squarely on his shoulders for the split from his ex-wife, Maria Shriver. Drawing uncanny comparisons to his character in the Netflix series "FUBAR", Schwarzenegger unveiled the reality behind his on-screen life.
In the Netflix series "FUBAR", Schwarzenegger plays Luke, whose marriage fails due to infidelity, a storyline he referred to as "deliberately autobiographical" in a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter. He humorously likened the show to a "documentary" about his life, but with a twist. Schwarzenegger explains that the character's infidelity doesn't count as cheating because it's part of his CIA job. However, the same couldn't be said for his real-life marriage to Maria Shriver, a failure Schwarzenegger accepts as his "f--k-up".
After his split from Maria Shriver, the former Governor of California found love with his girlfriend, Heather Milligan. "Eventually, you move on. I have a wonderful girlfriend, Heather Milligan, who is very successful. I'm really proud of her, and I love her," Schwarzenegger gushed.
The breakup 12 years ago was far from smooth, but Shriver and Schwarzenegger managed to maintain an amicable relationship, much to their kids' benefit. "She and I are really good friends and very close, and we are very proud of the way we raised our kids," Schwarzenegger revealed, even suggesting, "If there's an Oscar for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it for having the least amount of impact on the kids."
