B-town beauties lit up the opening ceremony of the Jio MAMI Film Festival 2023 with their regal presence. The prestigious event witnessed several veterans including Kamal Haasan, Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi and others in attendance. But it was MAMI chairperson Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ stunning appearance that stole the limelight.
Priyanka stunned the audience with her dazzling gown which she picked from the collection of designer Tony Ward. She wore a white gown featuring golden stripes and a matching cape. Her husband Nick Jonas was absolutely swayed away by her look. Priyanka shared her pictures on Instagram and wrote, "Opening night. Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival @mumbaifilmfestival."Nick commented, "Damn" and dropped a few fire emojis.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and director Hansal Mehta arrived together. Their film 'Buckingham Murders' became the opening film at the film festival. Kareena opted for a black and pink ensemble and looked royal. Sonam Kapoor channelled her inner Audrey Hepburn in a black gown embellished with pearls. Bhumi Pednekar turned up in an all-green ensemble and flaunted her toned abs. Among other celebs in attendance were Rajkummar Rao with wife Patralekhaa, Richa Chadha with Ali Fazal, Sunny Leone, Tara Sutaria, Tejasswi Prakash, Jim Sarbh, Shanaya Kapoor, Diana Penty, Babil Khan to name a few.

Talking about MAMI, Priyanka Chopra opened the event that took place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The event aim to showcase contemporary films across South Asia. Besides Buckingham Murders, Aparna Sen's The Rapist, starring Konkona Sensharma and Arjun Rampal, Anurag Kashyap's crime thriller Kennedy, starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, and Varun Grover's directorial debut All India Rank will be screened this year. Among the international titles, Bradley Cooper's Maestro will be screened. The festival will take place from October 27 till November 5.
