Mahima Chaudhary shares her story of breast cancer recovery with Anupam Kher, breaks down as she recalls how the cancer was detected

Actor Anupam Kher has revealed in a post that actress Mahima Chaudhary , who he approached for a film, has been battling breast cancer. Mahima who has been popular face of several films from the ‘90s shared her story in a video posted by Anupam as she joined the sets of his film The Signature post her recovery.

In the video, Mahima narrates how she was in the in the hospital preparing to undergo treatment for breast cancer when Anupam Kher called her and persistently tried get her to agree to do his film. The actress broken down narrating how the veteran actor was willing to wait and had no qualms about her short post surgery hair.

Mahima also revealed how her breast cancer was discovered during an annual medical check up. She also revealed how supportive Anupam has been through her battle with cancer and how before agreeing to do his movie, she had rejected many web series offers.

Calling her his ‘hero’ Anupam penned a long note sharing the news of Mahima’s battle with cancer and her recovery. He wrote, “I called #MahimaChaudhry a month back from US to play a very important role in my 525th film #TheSignature. Our conversation turned to her discovering that she has #BreastCancer. What followed is in this candid conversation between us. Her attitude will give hope to so many women all over the world. She wanted me to be part of her disclosing about it. She calls me an eternal optimist but dearest Mahima! “You are my HERO!” Friends! Send her your love, warmth, wishes, prayers and blessings. She is BACK on sets where she belongs. She is ready to fly. Mahima who has been quite active on social media posting video with her daughter Ariana, has not shared the news of her battle with breast cancer.
