Barun Sobti-starrer crime drama series Kohrra is all set to return with its second season. The makers of Kohrra announced the arrival of the series’ second season with a new star cast, including actress Mona Singh. The makers revealed that the second season’s plotline will revolve around another murder mystery with family dynamics and interpersonal secrets.

The makers have announced that Kohrra will be returning with its second season on Netflix soon. Actor Barun Sobti will reprise his role as a Punjabi police officer in the second season of the award-winning crime drama series Kohrra. The second season will also feature actress Mona Singh, who was last seen in the horror-comedy film Munjya.

Speaking about the plotline of season two, the makers revealed, “This season will dive into another murder mystery with family dynamics, interpersonal secrets and the background of fog-filled Punjab at the helm.”

In the series, Barun plays the role of a sincere police officer named Garundi. The makers have not yet revealed Mona Singh’s character in the series. Kohrra also stars Savinderpal Vicky, Harleen Sethi, and Varun Badola, among others.

Speaking about the series, creator Sudip Sharma said that the crime-drama series, Kohrra has been more than just a show for them—it has been a piece of their hearts. He added that the team has poured everything they have into the story and seeing the love the first season has received is incredibly moving. “It’s inspired us to come back with something even more powerful. We’re committed to telling stories that feel real, that reflect the lives of real people with rawness and authenticity, and that’s exactly what you’ll see in the new season on Netflix,” he said.

Kohrra Season 2 will be directed by showrunner, producer and co-creator Sudip Sharma, along with Faisal Rahman, and produced by Act Three Productions and Film Squad Productions. The series will mark Sudip Sharma’s debut as a producer (Act Three Productions) and director. Starring Barun Sobti, Mona Singh and Savinderpal Vicky, Kohrra will be returning with its second season on Netflix soon.
