Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: 'Desh ki Shaan' Manu Bhaker to grace Amitabh Bachchan's quiz show in Olympians Special episode

The performance of Indian contestants in this year’s Paris Olympics will definitely be etched in gold. Amongst those who made our nation proud was the ace shooter Manu Bhaker, popularly known as Desh Ki Shaan. Manu not only brought laurels to India once, but two times over and that too in the same year!

The very Manu Bhaker will now be the celebrity guest who will be gracing the iconic hotseat in the Amitabh Bachchan hosted reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. If the promo of the said episode is anything to go by, then, one can truly be assured of having goosebumps when the episode gets released.

Giving Manu company will be yet another achiever Aman Sehrawat, who happens to be the youngest Indian to win an individual Olympic medal in wrestling. With these two achievers in one frame, the makers have very aptly decided to name the episode as ‘Jeet Ka Jashn’.

The said episode will see Manu Bhaker making a revelation that it is her mother who happens to be her greatest inspiration. She also will be seen recalling her childhood when her mother offered her seamless support and encouragement while shaping her career in the sports, which eventually led her to put India on the international map. Besides all this, Manu will also be seen talking about the path taken by her while achieving her goal.

In a media statement issued by the show’s makers, it stated that, when asked about her inspiration, Manu Bhaker shared, “My mom is my biggest inspiration. She always dreamed of being an athlete but never had the resources or support needed. Although she never thought about the levels she could reach as an athlete, she was very good at sports”.

She even added that, “She has always given me the freedom to pursue my interests, and even when I was scared, she would motivate me by saying, ‘Don’t worry, just play.’ In a way, it was her dream too, to see me where I am today. Her incredible support has been an inspiration for me. I believe that when a mother is strong, the daughter is definitely strong”.
