Updated : August 31, 2022 12:33 PM ISTOn the day that Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal got married, several memes about their low-key ceremony flooded social media. It was one of the most private affairs of the year!
Back in December last year, two of Bollywood’s most popular stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the nuptial knot in a private but grand ceremony at the Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. The two were rumored to be dating but had never confirmed their relationship, which is why their wedding pictures were even more special for fans. But because they decided to keep it low key and were so guarded, many jokes were made about the event. For instance, one viral tweet read: ‘Heard that even pandit ji is not allowed at Vicky Katrina wedding due to security reasons.’
Well, on the red carpet of Wolf777news Filmfare Awards 2022, Katrina spoke to Zoom about her wedding for the first time ever. She was quoted saying, “More than trying to keep it private, we were restricted by Covid.” The actress explained, “My family has been personally affected by Covid and it was something you had to take seriously. I think this year it has been a lot better, but it was something we wanted to be cautious of, but the wedding was beautiful. We are both very happy.”
While Vicky had attended an award function back in March as well, this was Katrina’s first red carpet walk post the pandemic. She looked gorgeous in a shimmery saree as she accompanied her beau, who won the Best Actor Critics’ choice award for his film Sardar Udham.
On the work front, Katrina is currently busy gearing up for horror comedy Phone Bhoot after which she has Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas and Tiger 3 with Salman Khan in her kitty. Vicky, on the other hand, has several exciting projects in the pipeline including Govinda Naam Mera, The Great Indian Family, Dunki and Laxman Utekar's untitled next amongst others.
