Talking about the same, the announcement teaser has Rishab Shetty being exhausted with constant queries regarding the OTT release date of the movie in the Hindi language. We also see a funny scene where the actor is receiving his food parcel wherein even the delivery man asks him about the Hindi release of his movie in OTT. Rishab then finally goes on to reveal that Kantara will be released on Netflix on December 9, 2022. Take a look at the same.
The post that was jointly shared by both Netflix and Rishab Shetty stated, “Rishab Shetty has finally answered the question “When is Kantara coming in Hindi?”, and we couldn’t be more excited! Kantara is coming to Netflix in Hindi on December 9th.” We also see some majestic stills from the film soon after the announcement. This will surely come as happy news for the die-hard fans of the movie.
However, some fans of Kantara also wanted the film to be released in the Kannada language which they stated in the comment section of the post. Another fan said, “Kantara on Netflix?? Netflix is honored.” Some fans also requested that the makers release the Hindi version of the movie with the original song ‘Varaha Roopam’ since the makers have won the plagiarism case surrounding the track. The film Kantara revolves around the folklore of the Bhoota Kola festival and was also directed by Rishab Shetty himself. The movie earned a whopping Rs 400 crore at the box office.
