This was also the first time that Kangana Ranaut broke her silence after the disastrous performance of Dhaakad. Talking about the same, the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress shared a post on her Instagram stories wherein she wrote, “2019 I have Manikarnika 160 crore ka superhit film. 2020 was Covid year, 2021 I have the biggest film of my career, Thalaivii , which came on OTT and was a huge success. I see lots of curated negativity but 2022 is the year of blockbuster Lock Upp and it’s not over yet. I have great hopes with it."
Apart from this, Kangana Ranaut also shared some news headlines and snippets from internet searches which showed how her previous box office films were a success. Furthermore, one of the reports showed that her movie Thalaivii was a huge success in the OTT sphere and was the only film that could block the hugely popular show Squid Game on Netflix . Meanwhile, talking about Dhaakad, the movie incurred huge losses to the makers and has reportedly not found any takers for a suitable OTT streaming platform due to its poor performance at the box office. The actioner had hit a new low after it had only sold 20 tickets on its eighth day. It just raked in Rs 4420 in totality.
