Kamal Haasan's Indian 3 to have direct OTT release? Here’s what we know
The legendary Kamal Haasan’s film Indian simply swept the box office, not just in southern India, but also in Bollywood as well. The music of music maestro AR Rahman still lingers in our hearts. With a hope to replicate the success of the first part, the makers decided to make Indian 2. Sadly though, the film did not live upto the hype and the expectations which was set by its predecessor.
For all those who were eagerly awaiting to see the film’s next instalment (Indian 3) in theatres, it seems that the theatrical release of the film won’t happen. As per a source-based news report in Deccan Herald, it has been reported that the makers of Kamal Haasan’s most eagerly anticipated project Indian 3 are now considering a direct OTT release.
Here, one may note that the aforementioned news piece is yet to be officially announced by the film’s makers. So far, no one from the film’s team has spoken anything regarding the film being considered to be released on OTT. One may recall that, while shooting the film’s second part, the film’s makers had even shot the third part of the film along with the second part.
Over and above that, the film also underwent many delays. There was also a major accident which had taken place on the sets of the film. There were also reports of creative differences between Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, which had gone viral.
As for the film Indian 3, while it is being directed by Shankar, it has its music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s leading man Kamal Haasan will be seen in the role of Senapathy, who is totally against the corruption prevailing in the society. Besides Kamal Haasan, the film also stars Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal and others.
