Pawan's electoral win has come at a crucial time in the country's politics. He now holds some power to shape the national discourse, with the Narendra Modi-led BJP failing to secure a majority on its own. He is considered one of the key allies in the NDA alliance, which is set to form the government at the centre soon.
Many have expressed hope that Pawan will champion the efforts to protect the interests of South Indian states.
In the meantime, Pawan also has a few high-profile movies in different stages of production. He had put all his film commitments on hold to focus on the election campaign. Pawan is expected to resume shooting for movies soon. His period drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, is expected to hit the screens during the Christmas holiday.
