The upcoming Telugu movie, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Telugu superstar Prabhas, is one of the most-awaited films of 2024. Not only is it one of the most expensive films ever made in India, but director Nag Ashwin has also pushed the boundaries of engineering by inventing functional vehicles for his dystopian fantasy epic.
Earlier this week, the filmmakers held a grand event to unveil a motorcar called Bujji. They collaborated with some of the leading car makers to create a functional car that looks straight out of the future. Actor Naga Chaitanya had the privilege of taking 'Bujji' for a spin on a fast track. The star expressed a sense of disbelief, struggling to believe that a car like Bujji existed in reality. "I am still in shock. You have broken all rules of engineering," he said.

'Bujji', the robot car, has been in the making for a long time. The filmmakers have spent a fortune developing and perfecting its design. 'Bujji' is not just a car, but a fully functional, multipurpose, all-terrain vehicle.
In Kalki 2898 AD, Bujji plays a very important role as a car with a mind of its own. The car is controlled by a robot not bigger than the size of a fist. Actor Keerthy Suresh has lent her voice to Bujji.

The filmmakers earlier unveiled a teaser revealing the camaraderie between Prabhas's Bhairava and Bujji. Bujji seems to be the yin to Bhairava's yang. While Bhairava comes across as a happy-go-lucky guy with a penchant for staying positive, Bujji seems to be a glass-half-empty kind of robot.
In the film, Prabhas essays the role of a bounty hunter, set against a dystopian wasteland. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. It is due in cinemas on June 27.
