Kabir Khan loved how Kartik Aaryan never bragged about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2's success, says for other actors 'you have to reserve half an hour'

Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan are soon going to be working together. The director who has given some of Bollywood’s most entertaining hits has now shared what he found refreshing about his conversation with the star in the making revealing what sets Kartik apart from all the other stars he has interacted with.

The filmmaker whose last directorial ’83 with Ranveer Singh earned a lot of praise for stirring the right emotions about India’s first Cricket World Cup win, will now be working with Kartik on another true story in which the actor will reportedly play a boxer. Recalling his meeting with Kartik right after the rousing success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kabir told Bollywood Hungama how actors after delivering big hits love to have lengthy discussions about it and Kartik never mentioned his big box office success at all.

“I have never mentioned this ever before, but what was refreshing about Kartik was that I had met him post the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which had already been declared a blockbuster. Trust me when you meet an actor post a huge success, you have to reserve at least half an hour to hear about their film and Kartik never spoke about Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He was just speaking about the kind of work he likes to do and the kind of work he’d like to do with me and that’s really refreshing. For somebody who is on the cusp of becoming a superstar, at that point in time, and today he’s already dubbed a superstar, and yet to talk about films and crafts and stories.”

Kabir said that the idea of collaborating with Kartik began there and then when he shared a story with him which really resonated with him. He also praised Kartik for his hunger and greed as an actor to do different kinds of films. Kabir said where in industry where actors easily go into comfort zones, as a director he loves that Kartik is a hungry actor.

While Kabir and Kartik’s next is yet to go on floors, the actor is currently busy the promotions of his next big film Shehzada which releases in cinemas on 10 February, 2023.
