Jibraan Khan on working with Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham: ‘He makes everyone...’

Actor Jibraan Khan, who featured in Karan Johar’s iconic film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham as a child actor, is making a comeback to films with Ishq Vishk Rebound. The young artist played the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s son in the film. Speaking about his experience of working as a child actor with Shah Rukh Khan, Jibraan Khan said that he is the best person to be around and makes everyone feel special.

During a conversation with Hauterrfly, Jibraan was asked about his experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The actor replied that he is the best person to be around who makes everyone feel very special. “I think his children and me were around the same age, so he treated me like one of his kids,” he said.

For the unversed, Jibraan Khan played the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Krish, in Karan Johar-directed Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The film had an ensemble cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Jibraan further said that shooting for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was one of the best experiences of his life.

Speaking about meeting his co-star Hrithik Roshan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jibraan said that the star cast of the film was living in the same hotel. He said he used to be mesmerised to see Hrithik go out for his workouts.  “Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai just release hui thi and like everyone, I had a poster of him (Hrithik). After shoot, he used to go out for his workouts and I used to run with him and just sit, not do anything. I used to just watch him workout and he was one of the kindest people,” Jibraan said.  His Ishq Vishk Rebound co-star Pashmina Roshan is Hrithik's cousin.

Talking about the director of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jibraan said that Karan Johar was kind enough to share a story for his upcoming film. “It was very kind of him as he didn’t need to. Bahot accha laga. It was a feel-good moment and I hope I can make him proud because he has been such an important in my life,” he said.

Helmed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, Ishq Vishk Rebound stars Jibraan Khan, Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal. The film will release on June 21 in theatres.
