Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is on a roll. After setting global records, the blockbuster has achieved another remarkable feat as it became the first Hindi film to move past the 600 crore-mark, and in just 25 days. This is also the highest fourth weekend ever for a Hindi film and analysts expect the momentum to continue for a little longer. The film was released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
On Sunday, Atlee-directorial collected Rs 8.80 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Red Chilies Entertainment's Jawan has so far raked in Rs 547.79 crore in Hindi, taking the grand total to Rs 607.21 crore at the Indian box office. While at the global box office, the film has collected Rs 1,043.21 crore globally ever since its release on September 7, 2023.
Jawan is the biggest Hindi opener with a Rs 75 crore collection on the first day of its release. It has also become the fastest Hindi movie to enter Rs 200 crore. Several celebrities like Mahesh Babu, and Vijay, among others have congratulated Shah Rukh for the success of Jawan. Other than SRK, Jawan also stars Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara in key roles. The film also has Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo roles. Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi make for the supporting cast. The film’s music is given by Anirudh Ravichander.
Meanwhile, Jawan beat the global record set by his last movie Pathaan on Saturday, becoming the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film. Jawan's performance remained largely unaffected by the new releases such as Fukrey 2, and The Vaccine War.
