Janhvi Kapoor , daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, made her acting debut with the 2018 Dhadak . Since then the actress has worked in quite a few films like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Ghost Stories. She recently recalled the time when she was treated differently because of her star kid status.
The 25-year-old actress is currently promoting her recently released GoodLuck Jerry. In a promotional interview with the B4U podcast Hear It Hear with Suchitra Pillai and Sudhi Sachdev, she revealed that she faced the brunt of being a nepo-kid and was made to feel worthless during her first two films. According to her, people around her treated her as if she got everything on a platter. She got things that she doesn’t deserve, calling her ‘technically worthless’.

At the same time, Janhvi felt overwhelming respect for her parents as because of them she is given love and work. She explained that she doesn’t know about her talent and beauty but she is aware of her hard work. She said that she loves acting and works her ass off to give it back to her parents for what they have done for her. She has also realized the fact that she has to enjoy her work and ensure that she can give it more than her best and everything.
Meanwhile, Janhvi’s GoodLuck Jerry is a black comedy directed by Siddharth Sen. The film is about a Bihari girl who ends up in the drug-dealing business in order to save her ill mother’s life. The film also stars Mita Vashisht, Deepak Dobriyal, and Sushant Singh in prominent roles. Written by Pankaj Matta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai, and Mahaveer Jain, the film was released on the OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar on July 29. The film has been garnering positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.
