We wonder if this is a nail in the coffin for Jacqueline Fernandez ’s Bollywood career as the actress’ problems owing to the alleged extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar are not coming to an end. The Enforcement Directorate ( ED ) has alleged now that the actress might flee India if being given complete bail on the case. The authorities also accused Jacqueline of not cooperating with the ongoing investigation and further tampering with the evidence.
According to a news report in Free Press Journal, Jacqueline Fernandez appeared at the Patiala High Court in Delhi on November 10, 2022, in connection to the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. On hearing the bail petition of the Jaane Kahaan Se Aayi Hain actress, the Enforcement Directorate opposed the same citing the reason that Jacqueline might flee the country if given bail since her family members reside abroad. Apart from this, they accused the actress of not cooperating with them in the investigation.
The ED had earlier also accused Jacqueline Fernandez of being non-cooperative with the investigation and tampering with the evidence. On the previous hearing that had taken place on October 22, the ED had accused the Ram Setu actress of deleting evidence from her phone and also trying to flee India. The agency had created a charge sheet on October 17 in connection to the case wherein they had named Jacqueline as one of the main accused in the cheating case.
The Enforcement Directorate made many more shocking allegations on Jacqueline Fernandez wherein they alleged that she not only enjoyed some extravagant gifts bestowed to her by Sukesh Chandrashekhar but she also passed them on to her family in Sri Lanka. Sukesh had said in his confession that he was in a relationship with Jacqueline and that those gifts were a token of his love. He had further maintained that the actress has nothing to do with the case.
