At the time of Gangubai Kathiawadi 's release, Mrunal Thakur was quoted as saying “And Who doesn’t want to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s film?” to a news portal. She was so mesmerized by the movie that she watched it five times in the theatre. She had also mentioned that she wanted to be part of the film since it felt very personal as she started off her acting journey with a film like this. Well, it seems her dream of working with the ace filmmaker is in making. Yes, the actress was recently spotted outside the filmmaker’s office with producer Sandeep Singh.
In the pictures shared by Etimes, Mrunal could be seen dressed in a blue suit with her hair all open. She is seen getting into the car with Sandeep as the paps clicked her picture. Reacting to the photos, one of the netizens wrote, “Is there any new project coming” Another commented, “I pray to God for a dream role to our mrunu baby.” Besides this, Mrunal is busy promoting her upcoming mystery thriller Gumraah , which is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Thadam. She plays the role of a police officer in the movie, while Aditya Roy Kapur features in the double role. Besides them, the film also has Ronit Roy in a prominent role. Helmed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar, the film is set to hit theatres on April 7.
Meanwhile, Mrunal made her acting debut with the 2018 film, Love Sonia in which she featured in the role of a village girl caught in the clutches of sex-trafficking. Later, she worked in movies like Super 30, Batla House, Ghost Stories, Toofaan, Dhamaka, and Jersey among others. On the other hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to release his upcoming Netflix series Heeramandi which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sanjeeda Shaikh among others. He last directed Gangubai Kathiawadi which features Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
