However, his tweet met with a mixed response from netizens. Some fans seemed to agree with him and also supported him in calling out Bollywood. One netizen stated, “Let them keep daydreaming that they r “stars” ….. Any film from #Bollywood or anywhere else showing #Hindu deities in insulting manner & abusing my religion will FAIL.” Another user said, “Also, particularly in Bollywood, filmmaking is not an art but rather a business. Films in Bollywood are star-driven rather than story-driven.” A netizen further said, “The industry that has been in constant connection to the underworld, terrorists & anti-national forces can't be dumb. It's just their arrogance & superiority complex that makes them present garbage & shit films before the audiences.”
However, there were some netizens who also trolled Vivek Agnihotri for the tweet. One of the users stated, “Actually you don’t understand. You are a state-sponsored, subsidized, artificially hyped person whereas others are competent and self-made. Vivek, you will not be there once BJP is out of power, but Bollywood will always be there.” Talking about Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files , the movie was a huge success at the box office and earned a worldwide collection of Rs 340.92 crore.
