Babil has followed in his father’s footsteps and embarked on a journey in the film industry with his web film, Qala. While talking about his father’s legacy he told Hindustan Times, “I rejoice with how fondly he is remembered and the love with which his life is celebrated rather than allow my ego to burden me with worries of that which is impossible; I will never be him, or try to be because I am me and it would be a waste of a life to try to be someone else. The whole point is to stay true to yourself against the adversities, your individuality is a gift.”For the unversed, Irrfan passed away at the age of 53, after a long battle with cancer, on April 29, 2020.
Meanwhile, Babil was last seen in Qala alongside Tripti Dimri and Swastika Chatterjee. He will next be seen in debutant Shiv Rawail’s upcoming series, The Railway Men. The series is based on the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. The series also stars R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyenndu Sharma in pivotal roles.
