IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack: Pooja Gor drops appreciation post for Anubhav Sinha and entire cast; 'Working under his direction...'

Anubhav Sinha recently released his thriller drama series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack on Netflix. Soon after the series was released, it was surrounded by controversy over the Hindu names of the hijackers. The show featured Vijay Varma, Patralekhaa, Pooja Gor,  Kumud Mishra, Pooja Gor, Arvind Swami, and others. On September 9, Pooja took to Instagram to share BTS moments from the set. She also penned a long note expressing her gratitude to director Anubhav Sinha and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Sharing BTS moments from the sets of series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, Pooja wrote a long note expressing her gratitude for the entire team. She started her caption by appreciating the brilliance of director Anubhav Sinha. She also said that it was a joy to work with him.

She wrote, “Grateful to Anubhav Sinha Sir @anubhavsinhaa and Mukesh @castingchhabra for trusting me with the role of Simar in IC814. Working under Anubhav Sir’s direction was a joy—he gives an actor the freedom to bloom and flourish, and the atmosphere on set reflects his warmth. The way he treats his team and crew like family, you can truly feel the love and fondness everyone has for him. Collaborative, encouraging, and always uplifting—it’s been an honor.”

The BTS pictures feature Pooja dressed up as her character on set and Anubhav is seen caressing a cat on his lap. Other pictures feature the entire star cast from the promotions.

Cast of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack features Vijay Varma, Patralekhaa, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Amrita Puri and Dia Mirza, among others. Speaking about the star cast of the series, Pooja wrote that it felt serendipitous to be part of a project filled with such incredibly talented actors and added that it was an unforgettable experience to watch them do what they do. Pooja plays the role of Simar Dev, captain Devi Sharan’s wife in the series.

Series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is based on the real-life events when flight IC 814 was hijacked from Nepal and taken to Nepal.

Actress Dia Mirza took notice of the post and commented with a red heart emoji while Anubhav Sinha wrote, “ZINDABAD!!!”
