'I was calm but not anymore' : Riva Arora's mother breaks silence over controversy on her daughter's age

For the past few days, former child artist and social media influencer Riva Arora has been trending on social media for all the wrong reasons. A collective outrage broke out when it was speculated that Riva is still a minor and is working with actors in their 40s and 50s. Now, her mother who also received a lot of brickbats from netizens has finally broken her silence on the matter.

Talking about the same, Riva Arora’s mother Nisha Arora took to her social media handle to share an official statement that said, “I was calm but not anymore. The allegations on my daughter’s age are completely false and it’s a saying that false news travels faster than ever and many reputed social media channels proved it. It is sad to see and disheartening for me. At least you should have cross-checked with me before uploading on reputed pages. My daughter is an actor and working in the industry since years.” Take a look at her post.

Apart from this, Riva Arora’s mother also spoke with Indiaforums on the entire fiasco surrounding her daughter. She said, “It’s unfortunate to see renowned publications spreading false information about a young girl without any verifications. My daughter is currently in the 10th grade. She has been working in the industry for more than 13 years and has achieved everything with utmost integrity and perseverance.”

Riva Arora also gave a cryptic caption to one of her latest posts presumably taking an indirect dig at her trolls. The actress had stated, “Jealousy is the best compliment you can receive (sic)". Riva’s mother had further come under the radar after it was rumored that she has made her daughter take steroids and breast augmentation implants to make her look older than her age. The actress’ romantic reel with a 38-year-old Karan Kundrra further sparked a lot of anger amongst netizens.
