Ajith Kumar in Good Bad Ugly
The first look of Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar from his upcoming movie Good Bad Ugly was unveiled on Sunday. The poster features three moods of Ajith, directly connecting with the three adjectives used in the title. The filmmakers also confirmed that the movie will hit screens worldwide during the Pongal holiday next year.
Ajith sports a look akin to a typical Mexican gangster, with tattooed arms, huge sunglasses, and a salt-and-pepper hairstyle neatly combed backwards. The bling costume and the character's penchant for guns all scream a quirky gangster drama.

The poster also suggests that, after a long time, Ajith might be unapologetically embracing the dark side. The last time he did so, we got Mankatha. Director Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha, released in 2011, still remains one of the best anti-hero movies in contemporary Tamil cinema. Ajith demonstrated great versatility in portraying an immoral character with great flamboyance.
Good Bad Ugly will be written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran. While sharing the first look posters, Adhik expressed deep gratitude for landing the opportunity to direct his favourite superstar.
I’m working with the most versatile ⭐️performer ever, who can deliver Good Bad Ugly at the same time❤️🙏🏻Magic of life is, sticking my Star’s poster in my cupboard and placing banners in theatres. “I’m working with the most versatile performer ever, who can deliver Good Bad Ugly at the same time. The magic of life is sticking my star’s poster in my cupboard and placing banners in theatres. And now presenting this first look poster not only as a fan boy but also as a fan boy director. Thank you Universe & Kadavule #Ajith sir @SureshChandraa sir," he tweeted.
Adhik scored a huge commercial hit last year with Mark Antony, a sci-fi drama that revolved around a gadget allowing people to talk across different timelines in the past. It starred Vishal and S. J. Suryah in the lead roles.
The film garnered poor reviews but ended up earning about Rs 100 crore in ticket sales. The commercial success of Mark Antony helped Adhik secure the opportunity to direct Ajith in his next project.
