With his acting prowess and a booming production career, it seems like Josh Hutcherson, famously known for "The Hunger Games" franchise, is also making substantial leaps in real estate. "Dreams of becoming a homeowner," Hutcherson confessed, turning that dream into reality by recently splurging a neat sum of nearly $2 million on a newly remodeled home in L.A.'s coveted Silver Lake area, as reported by Variety.

Fending off fierce competition, the actor went the extra mile (or in this case, the extra $300,000) by paying more than the $1.6 million asking price. His desire for this property, it seems, knew no bounds. But what is it that really caught Hutcherson's eye? Perhaps the unique blend of vintage aesthetics and modern amenities, the peek-a-boo view over the Silver Lake Reservoir, or the park-like yard dappled with the shade of mature trees.
"A Home that Speaks to the Heart"
The property boasts a little under 2,000 square feet across three floors. The home, unassumingly referred to as a "Spanish revival" in marketing materials, flaunts a trio of interconnected spaces - a living room replete with a fireplace and French doors, a separate dining room enhanced by a vast picture window, and a cozy den marked by a room-wide bank of accordion-fold glass doors. A sprawling deck set amidst the treetops adds a serene touch to this modern-meets-traditional home.
This Silver Lake purchase isn't Hutcherson's first foray into property ownership. The 26-year-old actor already owns two other properties in Los Angeles. His Hollywood Hills home, bought from the estate of the late actor Heath Ledger for $2.5 million in 2012, stands as a testament to his love for architectural gems and star-studded neighborhoods.
