Former lovers Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon to collaborate for Welcome 3? Here's what we know

Akshay Kumar is all set to collaborate with his former girlfriend and actress Raveena Tandon after 20 long years. The duo will be reportedly seen together in the comedy flick Welcome 3. Akshay starred in the first installment of the movie in 2007 which was a huge hit but the second part Welcome 2 was a box office dud that did not feature the superstar.

Talking about the same, a news report in Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development to reveal, “Akshay and Raveena have worked together on multiple films including cults like Mohra. Their last collaboration was Police Force: An Inside Story. It has taken 20 years and a comic caper like Welcome 3 to bring the two of them together. While details of their dynamic in the film have been kept under wraps, however, it is unlike anything they have done before."

The source further revealed that the third installment of the movie is titled Welcome To The Jungle. It was further revealed, “Welcome 3 is titled Welcome to the Jungle and is an adventure comedy with a big ensemble. The prep work is in progress and the shoot schedule will be chalked out soon. Both Akshay and Raveena are excited about this reunion.”

For the unversed, Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar were not only a hit pair onscreen but also offscreen. The two dated decades earlier and were even engaged. However, they had a bitter separation after which Akshay started a relationship with Shilpa Shetty and was later married to actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna. Raveena also moved on and tied the knot with film distributor Anil Thadani. Akshay and Raveena delivered several hits like Mohra, Daava, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Keemat, and Barood. They had recently reunited in an award ceremony too but it will be truly exciting to see them join hands again for a movie.
