Farewell KK: Singer's industry friends pay their last respects, cremation gets concluded

Singer KK’s untimely demise was inevitably tragic news for his industry friends and his innumerable fans. The singer is currently being cremated at a Versova crematorium in Mumbai but before that, his industry friends paid their last respects to him. The ‘Yaron’ singer’s close friends from the music fraternity had started pouring in to bid him farewell for the last time.

Hariharan was one of the first people to reach KK’s residence. The singer had crooned the track ‘Chod Aye Hum’ along with the late singer in the film Machis (1996). Abhijit Bhattacharya also arrived in the ‘Pal’ singer’s residence. Take a look at the same.

Actress and singer Anveshi Jain came to offer her condolences. Javed Ali was another one of the first people to arrive to pay his last respects. Salim Merchant of the Salim-Suleiman duo also arrived at KK’s residence. Take a look.

Apart from this, veteran singer Alka Yagnik also came to KK’s residence before the cremation. She had crooned the song ‘Meelon Ka’ from Love Story 2050 (2008) with the late singer. Actor Himansh Kohli also reached the late singer’s home.

Director Vishal Bharadwaj and his wife Rekha Bharadwaj also reached KK’s residence. Director Kabir Khan was also spotted reaching to pay his last respects. The late singer had his last song for his movie 83 .

Singers Papon and Suresh Bhosle also reached the late singer’s residence to pay their respects. Nikamma actress and singer Shirley Setia was also in attendance. The vehicle carrying KK’s mortal remains has been adorned with flowers with his picture being mounted aboard.

Shankar Mahadevan furthermore was spotted at KK’s residence. Shreya Ghoshal also reached to pay her last respects. The singer could not control her tears and was seen breaking down as she arrived.

Veteran lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar also arrived to pay his last respects. Singer Amaal Malik furthermore reached KK’s home. His brother and singer Armaan Malik had earlier expressed concerns over the lack of proper arrangement for the singers to perform at concerts which was also the reason for the deterioration of KK’s health.

Rahul Vaidya also came to his residence to pay his last respects. KK’s mortal remains were being taken to the crematorium by his close ones. His wife Jyothy Lakshmi and children Nakuul and Tamara were also spotted. The singer is expected to be cremated by now at the Versova crematorium.
