Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil is basking in the back-to-back success of his movies. In recent years, he has seen significant success both as an actor and producer. Now, his production company, Fahadh Faasil and Friends, is facing action from the Human Rights Commission.
According to reports, the production company shot its upcoming movie Painkili, which is Malayalam for bird, at the Angamaly Taluk Government Hospital recently. It's alleged that the filmmakers shot in the casualty ward without securing proper permission, disturbing patients. Consequently, the Human Rights Commission has also sought an explanation from Fahadh's company.
As per industry sources, the filmmakers have denied any wrongdoing and claim to have followed all due diligence to carry out the shoot. It seems the hospital superintendent was aware and had allowed the shoot to happen. The filmmakers have also rubbished the reports about patients facing trouble due to the shoot.
In the meantime, Fahadh Faasil is riding a success wave, becoming one of the most sought-after actors across the Indian film industry. Recently, he was seen in Aavesham. The film opened earlier this year to packed houses and emerged as one of the biggest hits in Malayalam cinema, with a global gross of more than Rs 150 crore.
Fahadh Faasil's performance in the role of the eccentric gangster Ranga was a big hit with audiences across the country. The film followed Ranga's quest to find meaningful relationships, despite being surrounded by hundreds of people all the time. "Aavesham" is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Before that, his production venture Premalu also emerged as a huge hit, earning more than Rs 136 crore against its Rs 30 crore budget.
Next, Fahadh Faasil will be seen in Pushpa 2 and Vettaiyan.
