Emergency: Kangana Ranaut reveals her makeup artist finds her jawline and skin similar to Indira Gandhi

A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut left her fans surprised with her first look as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film, Emergency . Recently, the actress revealed that her makeup artist David Malinowski believes that she has a striking resemblance with Indira Gandhi physically.

Kangana is making her full-fledged directorial debut with Emergency, which is based on the life of India’s first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She is playing the titular role and has started filming the movie. The make-up professional David and his team from London is taking care of her look in the upcoming movie. For the unversed, David is known for transforming Gary Oldman into British PM Winston Churchill. The Oscar and BAFTA recipient also worked as the makeup artist for movies like The Batman and World War Z.

In a recent interaction, the Tanu Weds Manu actress said that David pointed out that her jawline and skin texture is very similar to that of Mrs. Gandhi. In response, the actress told him that people in India believe that she is the perfect person to portray Mrs. Gandhi onscreen. "David and his team are astute professionals. An entire team flew down from London. We had a series of meetings to ascertain the final look, and did a bunch of look tests. In fact, he pointed out that I physically resemble Mrs Gandhi a lot, including the skin texture and jawline. I told him that in India, people believe I am the perfect person to play Mrs Gandhi,” she told Mid-Day.

Meanwhile, Kangana was last seen in the action drama Dhaakad alongside Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta . The big-budgeted movie miserably failed at the box office. She will next be seen in the aviation thriller, Tejas , as an Indian Air Force officer.
