Ekta Kapoor does friend Sajid Nadiadwala a 'favor', averts clash of Dream Girl 2 with his Satyaprem Ki Katha

Ayushmann Khurrana ’s Dream Girl 2 created quite a stir when the first announcement teaser was released by the makers. The movie has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and now one hears that she has heeded a request of her close friend Sajid Nadiadwala . Ekta has preponed the release date of Dream Girl 2 to avoid a clash with the Kartik Aaryan starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha which is being produced by Sajid. The new release date of Dream Girl 2 is on June 23, 2023.

For the unversed, the initial release date of Dream Girl 2 was on June 29, 2023, which was resulting in a direct clash with Satyaprem Ki Katha. However, the TV Czarina got a call from her close friend and producer Sajid Nadiadwala who asked her to shift the release date of her film to which Ekta agreed to work something out. However, now we have learned that Ekta has finally preponed the release date of the film to June 23, 2023.

A source close to the development stated, “When Sajid called Ektaa and requested her to move the release date of Dream Girl 2, she graciously agreed to prepone the date of Dream Girl 2 from 29th June to 23rd June, 2023. Very rarely do we see producers making way for each other but Ektaa R Kapoor who is known for her rock-solid friendships came forward in support of her old friend and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.”

Well, we must say in this era of cut-throat competition in the film industry, Sajid Nadiadwala and Ekta Kapoor have come to the said agreement quite efficiently. Dream Girl 2 also stars Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, and others. While Satyaprem Ki Katha will see Kartik Aaryan romancing Kiara Advani for the second time after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
