'Can't she allow the girl to be herself?': Aishwarya mercilessly trolled as she continues to hold daughter Aaradhya's hand at airport

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has often been at the receiving end of criticism for being too a possessive mother to her daughter Aaradhya. To date, the actress has always kept her bundle of joy close to herself and never leaves her hand at any public outings. Once again Aishwarya came onto the radar of the trolls as she was spotted at the airport with Aaradhya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan on Sunday.

A video surfaced on the paparazzo’s social media account shows Aishwarya along with Abhishek and Aaradhya exiting the airport. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress can be seen holding Aaradhya’s hands as they made their way out of the airport while Abhishek was walking behind them. Aishwarya was seen wearing a striped white and black long shirt teamed up with black leggings, and Aaradhya wore a light purple sweatshirt with a pair of black trousers. As soon as the video surfaced, many social media users questioned why is she still holding her 10-year-old daughter’s hand. Some also pointed out Aaradhya’s not changing hairstyle.

While one user wrote, “Ash dear plss let Aradhya walk without holding your hand.. doesn't she go to school and walk play enjoy sports on her own..you make her look handicapped n I'm sure she is a smart girl..Do not ground her in public n make her so dependent On you..n plss change her hairstyle, sic.” Another commented, “I absolutely love her, but I feel she’s a bit overprotective of her daughter. She needs to start letting her wings grow.” One user poked fun saying that at the time of Aaradhya’s wedding also Aishwarya will not leave her hand. “Ye iski shaadi k baad vidaai pe khud bhi ese hi chali jaegi iske saath lagta hai,” the user wrote.

Meanwhile, workwise, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: 1. The actress received praise for her performance as princess Nandini. As per the latest update, the film is about to end its run soon and has made a monstrous total of 464.70 crores gross so far globally.
